Incorporated Techniques

Therapeutic Massage

My massage involves a wide-range of modalities. Each session is individually personalized to your specific needs as we discuss and determine your goals before we start. I draw from Swedish massage, Myofascial Release, deep tissue technique, among many other modalities with an integration of proper breathing for a transformative shift in your physical, mental, & spiritual well-being.

Pressure ranges light firm.

Deep Touch

An energy-based “deep tissue” technique called Deep Touch is part of my signature approach to bodywork. It’s not painful and, in my opinion, cohesively blends MFR and energy medicine into deep tissue work. Please note: deeper isn’t always better. Dysfunctional breathing and desensitized nervous systems are something I look out for. I will always advocate for the best techniques for your body and nervous system.

Swedish Massage

Long, gliding, and kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. Combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing. This is most likely what you receive at a popular massage chain or spa. The primary goal is relaxation.

Myofascial Release

Also known as MFR, myofascial release is a safe, low-impact therapy that involves applying sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore range of motion.

Proper Breathing

Breathing diaphragmatically, in and out like ocean waves, exhales slightly longer than inhales are crucial for a successful session. I offer gentle reminders during the session and clients often make comments of appreciation afterwards.

Reiki Energy Medicine

Reiki is a sacred Japanese energy medicine. Energy or prana can be channeled into the client for improved healing and easing emotional distress. Energy work is great for someone feeling emotionally drained or turbulent.

Trigger Point Compression

Trigger points are essentially bundles of nerves in your muscles that are holding on tightly. Applying controlled pressures to these acute areas sends signals to your brain that it’s safe to release. Trigger point restrictions limit range of motion and mobility.

Muscle Energy Technique

With assistance of your own muscle contractions, we can relax and lengthen muscles and normalize your joint range of motion.

“Do you do _____?”

I only offer techniques and advice from areas within my scope of practice and that I have available supplies for. Most are listed here on this page. In the future I may be able to offer prenatal massage, hot towel and hot stones add-ons, and face massage.
